It's Horse Show Time

Rhett showed both Peppers at the Nicholasville Horse Show.
Pepper the stick horse, won a blue ribbon and a trophy!
(even though he bucked Rhett off!)

Sidney Shea even found some fun things to do at the show...since she couldn't ride a horse, how about a tractor?? (like the color Annie-Ree??)

Pepper the horse, won a first place ribbon and a trophy! Thanks Nannie for bringing Pepper so I could ride.

The Circus is coming, the Circus is coming!!!!

The Circus came to Nicholasville and the Amburgey's and Smorstad's went on the hottest afternoon and couldn't have had more fun!!!

Come on Ivy, it's a camel! It's not scary....

OK Rhett! I'm going to be so brave and go for a ride!

Everyone, dry and ready for the circus fun. By the end, we were all soaking wet with sweat!

Wow!!!!!!!!

Rhett took this picture all by himself!

What a great day! The best part, when it was over they didn't keep us:)

have a heart??????

Ok, so here's one without a picture. Today we went to story time at the library. One of the songs said use your pointer finger to point to your eyes, nose, then it said heart. I looked around and told Rhett to point to his heart. His response, very loudly was "Mo, I don't have a heart them are for girls." So later when we got home, I said Rhett you do have a heart. God gave you a heart to keep you alive and to be kind to others. He still was convinced that hearts were for girls. So I dared asked, "well, if girls have hearts then what do boys have?" his response I think many of you will agree with. "Boys have brain freezes!" So when you think the man in your life never listens or just doesn't care about the things you do, not true...it's just a brain freeze moment!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

We celebrated Father's Day by having a fish fry in our backyard.
Here are some picture's of us and our Fathers (Dad and Daddy)

Rob and his dad, Bob--thanks to Bob, Rob has a love for the outdoors and for the farm

Me and my Daddy..don't you see where I get my good looks from? I learned from my Daddy,to have a great since of humor, a big heart for giving and a strong work ethic.

Rob with Rhett and Sidney Shea. Thanks to Rob, our children will learn to be patient, how to read directions to put things together, and to have a love for the outdoors.

What a great day and how thankful we are to have GREAT dads!

p.s. did you notice that there was no blog posting on mother's day nor did we even get a picture with our mother's...why is that?

I got a new b-ball goal for my birthday thanks to Unk! Mr. John even came over to help my Daddy put it together...now it's up and anytime any of you want to take me on, bring it on!!

I also got a new ride. Yelp! Bengal's colored bike. (Grand-dog says it's Harley colored) I love to ride and boy I sure can go fast...especially down BIG hills.

Day on the Farm

A quick trip into Mt. Sterling to take our friends Ryan and Lainey (Mr. Charlie and Ms. Judy's grandkids) As you can see we had a great day and where joined by Lyndsey and her friend Clay!

War Wounds

I'm watching out for things while our friends are in Texas...well, I have a Texas size bruise (as Rhett would say it 'a big honkin'one) thanks to their trash can! I sure hope they have good insurance....maybe some workers comp to extend my summer vacation!

LOOK WHO'S THREE!!!!

IT's ME...Rhett!!!
When it came to thinking of a place to host Rhett's 3rd birthday party, what better of a place than his favorite...the CREEK! Thanks to Mr. Charlie about 30 of our friends all gathered to celebrate his big day. Boy did we have fun!!!

Saying "Good-bye" for the summer to our good friends who are staying in Texas all summer.

Boston, Sidney Shea, Olivia and Rhett

Stopping by to visit with Ms. Mabel, Rob's "nannie" (babysitter)

Family Reunion

We had a family reunion on Mom's side of the family...no AnnMarie is not related however, she went. The night before the reunion, she spent the night at the trailer house with me and we had the best midnight snack...bar-b-q chicken legs, green beans, cookies and brownies. YUM! not to mention the drink of choice...ALE81

More pictures of the reunion to come...when I can download pictures off of Aunt Vicki's camera
Ann Marie Graduated!
Austin and I had front row seats because we were there 2 1/2 hours before the ceremony even started.
I know Austin...I'm the coolest "OLD" person you know.

Then we CELEBRATED!

Tina and Greg hosted a very nice bar-b-q in honor of the graduate. Isn't the cake beautiful? Jessica made it (Jared's girlfriend) so if you need anything just let her know. Not only was it fabulous on the outside but most DELICIOUS!
