Tractor Show

Nicholasville host an annual tractor show out at the Fair Grounds each year. There are lots of fun things for the kids to do and they can get on the tractors and try them out. This year, we took along Rhett's BEST friend Jonathan. He'll tell you that he has lots of friends....Ivy, Ellie, Cole, Bennett but he and Jonathan are the BEST!

Here they are posing in the tractor tire.

A tub of corn, just think in two years this will be the ages of my children (6,4 and 2)

Sidney Shea getting in on the action. Trust me, she took every step that the boys did and she really didn't want mine and Rob's help getting up on the tractors. She also knew exactly what to do, push buttons, pull levers and turn the steering wheel...

Camping 103

We headed out another weekend in Sept. back to Cave Run. This was the first weekend that the weather was actually GREAT for camping. We had plans for Camping 104 for a week in Oct. but because the baby would be due in just a few weeks from that time and they were calling for rain, we canceled our Oct trip....this would be our last camping outing for the year and we cannot wait to start camping in the SPRING!!

Hanging out in the woods, looking for deer. We hiked to the lake and threw rocks in for over 30 minutes. I think my kiddos could have stayed all day.

Lots of time using sidewalk chalk, I think Sidney Shea had already had her night-time bath, she usually ends up having two or three of them each evening!

Like I said in an earlier post, camping close to family allows for visitors. Rob's parents brought his Mammaw up to visit for a short while.

Then our dinner guest! Boy do my kids love to be with their cousins!

Having Fun!

Nothing like breakfast in bed when your camping! Yep Jill, those are donuts!

Camping 101 and 102

I had hoped to post these as different post so you could get more pictures of our camping experiences...maybe in Camping 103! This year, the Amburgey family purchased a camper and boy have we had FUN!! Our first outing was just for 2 nights at Boonesborough State Park. We went in Aug before school started back up. Let me just say it was the 101 degree days that we went! HOT....but that didn't stop us from the camping favorite, SMORES!

Rhett roasting marshmellows and Sidney Shea enjoying eating them. Rhett loves to put the stick in the fire, however doesn't eat what he cooks. Sidney Shea however, just likes them straight out of the bag....the chocolate is her favorite part!

BIG storm keeps us inside for most of the second day, but it sure left lots of fun for the afternoon.

Puddle jumping and stick horse racing
We even toured the Fort

Here's chief Rob....he doesn't know how to cook at home but when it comes to camping and cooking, he's the go to man. Maybe that's why I LOVED camping sooo much....someone else doing the cooking!

We had such a great experience the first time around that Labor day weekend, we camped at Cave Run lake...thanks to our favorite Park Ranger employee Julie!!! Let's just say Cave Run is our FAVORITE spot!

Enjoying the afternoon at the beach. Julie joined us and so did Michele, Kennedy, Hunter and Kenny. It was nice camping so close to family that people came to visit!

we even had Dinner guest!
Just a picture of our camper and camp site.....more to come on our 3rd trip....back to Cave Run we RAN!!!!!

Thanks Al Gore...creator of internet

Internet problems. It's hard to believe that I only check e-mail and blog on the internet and yet, I've missed it so much! We've been without service now since Aug. I've had just enough to check mail every now and then and look at others post but not enough to do some updating of my own.....I hope you have time to check out all the post. I'm glad I can get some of these up because the baby will be here VERY soon and I know you'll want to see pics of him or her?!
